Frequently Asked Questions

Are my PDFs uploaded anywhere?

No. All processing happens in your browser using PDF-Lib.js. Your files never leave your device. This is critical privacy for legal documents, financial records, and personal data.

Is there a file size limit?

No hard limit set by us. Browser memory typically handles PDFs up to 100MB combined easily. Very large files may slow your browser temporarily during processing.

Does merging affect PDF quality?

No. Pages are copied bit-for-bit. Text, images, fonts, and formatting remain identical to the originals.

Can I rearrange page order before merging?

Yes. After uploading, use the โ†‘ and โ†“ buttons next to each file to change the order. Files merge in the order shown.

What image formats can I convert to PDF?

JPG, JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, and BMP. Each image becomes one PDF page sized to fit the image.

Can I split a PDF into separate files here?

This tool currently supports merge and image-to-PDF. For splitting, use a desktop tool like PDFsam or your browser's "Print to PDF" feature with specific page ranges.

Why is the output file size larger than expected?

PDFs can have embedded fonts, images, and metadata. For maximum compression after merging, run through our Image Compressor (after exporting pages as images) or use a desktop compression tool.
